Job Summary
The Analyst is a key member of the team and supports a diversified commercial real estate investment platform encompassing several investment verticals within an insurance company capacity. The role is responsible for underwriting, portfolio management, asset surveillance, fund operations, investor reporting, portfolio analytics, market research, and strategic initiatives that support both investment performance and back-office operations. Working closely with senior leadership, loan originators, private equity fund professionals, investors, and external stakeholders, the Analyst provides analytical support, manages recurring reporting processes, oversees investment data and portfolio monitoring, and contributes to investment decision-making across multiple asset classes and investment vehicles.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor a diversified portfolio of commercial real estate debt investments, including fixed-rate loans, bridge loans, participation investments, credit tenant lease (CTL) investments, and real estate fund investments.
- Perform commercial real estate credit analysis, market research, and investment evaluation for prospective debt and structured finance transactions across multiple property types.
- Conduct portfolio surveillance, asset management, risk assessment, and periodic re-underwriting of existing investments, including monitoring collateral performance, loan metrics, market conditions, and borrower developments.
- Support the administration, valuation, reporting, and operational management of private real estate funds, co-investment vehicles, and strategic investment programs.
- Coordinate capital calls, distributions, investor reporting, audits, financial statement reviews, and interactions with fund administrators, auditors, legal counsel, and external service providers.
- Maintain and oversee portfolio analytics, investment databases, valuation models, business intelligence tools, and recurring management reporting across multiple investment platforms and asset classes.
- Support management, reporting, surveillance, and regulatory compliance activities for a large Credit Tenant Lease portfolio, including ratings monitoring, annual filings, portfolio stratifications, and investor requests.
- Develop portfolio presentations, market analyses, performance summaries, investment memoranda, and executive-level reporting for management, investors, and strategic capital partners.
- Lead market research initiatives and maintain proprietary analytical tools used to support underwriting decisions, portfolio strategy, capital allocation, and investment planning.
- Participate in strategic initiatives, process improvements, technology implementations, third-party capital programs, participation structures, portfolio sales, and other projects supporting business growth and operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- 1 -3 years of experience in accounting, commercial real estate lending, portfolio management, asset management, real estate private equity, commercial banking, structured finance, or institutional investment management.
- Experience supporting investment portfolios, private funds, real estate debt investments, or institutional real estate platforms.
- Familiarity with real estate cash flow analysis, valuation concepts, fund structures, and portfolio reporting.
Technical Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Financial modeling
- Data analysis

- Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
- Experience working with investment management, accounting, or portfolio reporting platforms.

The base salary for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band D: $70,000-$90,000 depending upon experience
