Job Description

Under the direction of Research & Development manager, Analyst II (HPLC and GC-MS) will be responsible for supporting the department through coordinating research activities directed toward the development of new methods and conducting validations that meet departmental goals. The position is instrumental in the development/validation of a new test method as per ICH guideline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine analysis and method validation using HPLC and GC-MS.
• Review technical data, documents, and proposals as required.
• Troubleshoot technical issues/ difficulties with methods.
• Carry out and support OOS/OOT investigations;
• Coordinate method transfers study between clients and other departments.
• Assist SOP training for new personnel and on SOP revisions.
• Provide ongoing technical training and develop staff to enable them to perform technical tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Chemistry or related discipline; MSc. would be an asset
• 5+ years working with HPLC or GC-MS/MS
• 5-10 years' experience working in GMP Environment
• Experience working in a contract laboratory is an asset
• Other Required Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
