Corporate Governance Associate Full-Time
About The Role
This Analyst I, Compensation and Benefits position offers structured development within ACPWB's Corporate Governance practice, with formal enrollment in the ACPWB's analyst onboarding and certification sequence and direct mentorship from a Manager throughout your first year. You will contribute to compensation data research and analysis research that appears in client-ready deliverables, and you will receive honest feedback on the quality of your contributions. We do not warehouse junior talent.
If you are a recent graduate with an interest in compensation data research and analysis and want to learn from practitioners who are recognized as leaders in the field, the Analyst I, Compensation and Benefits position in ACPWB's Corporate Governance group is worth your attention. The ACPWB's analyst onboarding and certification sequence is substantive. The mentorship is real. The work is meaningful. The fish fry options in Milwaukee are also worth your attention.

WHY ACPWB
The culture at ACPWB is best described as high standards, low bureaucracy, and snacks that are replenished on a consistent schedule. We measure performance by output and impact, not by hours or visibility. We have no culture of performative overwork, because we consider performative overwork a symptom of organizational dysfunction. We have published a report on this. The report is well-cited.
ACPWB was founded in Milwaukee in 2006 with a simple mandate: help working Americans understand and advocate for the compensation they deserve. Eighteen years later, that mandate has grown into a full-service research and advisory practice serving clients from early-stage employers to Fortune 50 enterprises — and we are still based in Milwaukee, because Milwaukee is genuinely underrated.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
The hiring process begins with a brief resume review, proceeds to a 30-minute screening call, and culminates in a two-part final interview: a technical assessment with the hiring manager and a cultural conversation with two peers. We aim to extend offers within ten business days of the final interview. We do not always succeed. We are working on it.
What Success Looks Like In Year One
- ◆ Understand ACPWB's core analytical methodology well enough to explain it to a new hire
- ◆ Receive a mid-year performance review that confirms you are progressing on the expected development path
- ◆ Demonstrate the ability to independently manage a small, well-defined research task from start to finish
