Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 4 days on-site, 1 day work from home (Friday is work from home, subject to change)

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 2 months (with potential for extension based on business needs and performance; conversion to permanent also possible based on business needs and performance)
• Pay Rate: C$40.00–C$50.00 / Hour (CAD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours — 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM); overtime available
• Travel Requirements: Not required

• Job Summary
• This role supports Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations by screening against various watchlists and flags within a collaborative 7-person team. The position is a backfill opportunity offering exposure to AML knowledge and experience, with the opportunity for long-term career development. The contractor will have access to customer data and will interact primarily with internal stakeholders, spending approximately 1 hour per week in meetings. Performance will be measured via metrics including SLAs, KPIs, daily/monthly goals, and quality of work.

• Key Responsibilities
• Support screening against various watchlists and flags
• Perform adverse media screening and apply understanding of those processes
• Apply knowledge of Money Service Business (MSB) and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screening
• Execute day-to-day AML responsibilities in alignment with SLA and KPI targets
• Meet daily and monthly quality and productivity goals
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders; participate in approximately 1 hour of meetings per week
• Handle access to customer data in compliance with applicable policies

• Required Skills
• 2 years of AML experience (closer to 4 years preferred)
• Adverse media experience
• Money Service Business (MSB) / Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) knowledge
• Previous experience in screening and understanding those processes
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong time management and priority management skills
• Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable
• Flexible and able to pivot from one task to another
• Willingness to learn and takes initiative

• ACAMS certification
• Banking or financial institution experience

• Required Experience
• Minimum 2 years of AML experience (closer to 4 years is preferred)
