Role Description The AI / Machine Learning Engineer (AI / Python / Go) will design, build, and deploy machine learning models that extract insights from financial news, data, and market activity. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing algorithms for pattern recognition, implementing and optimizing neural networks, and creating data pipelines and services in Python and Go. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams to integrate AI-driven features into Benzinga’s applications, as well as monitoring model performance and iterating on solutions based on metrics and user feedback. This is a full-time remote role, requiring effective communication, reliable delivery, and a strong focus on production-quality code and scalable systems.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with experience designing efficient, scalable solutions.
Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks for building and deploying machine learning models.
Solid understanding of Statistics for data analysis, model evaluation, and performance tuning.
Hands-on experience programming in Python and Go for backend services, data processing, and ML workflows.
Experience working with real-world datasets, ideally in finance or another data-intensive domain.
Familiarity with ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and cloud-based deployment environments.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code, work with version control, and collaborate in an agile engineering team.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on delivering reliable, user-centric solutions.
