• Location: Remote, East Coast. Must be within a Reasonable commute to a client office should they need to be onsite.
• Pay rate: $142.85/hr to $250/hr on W2
• About the Role:
• We are seeking an experienced dynamic Engineering Lead to oversee and guide multiple software engineering teams within the AI Ready Data portfolio under Applied Innovation. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, particularly in AI integration within the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and a passion for driving innovative solutions.
• This is not just a management role; it requires a balanced split between leadership responsibilities and hands-on technical contributions, including creating AI agents, developing and harnesses, driving innovation, showcases, and performing code reviews to ensure quality.

• Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage multiple engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
• Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy aligned with program and portfolio objectives
• Coordinate closely with program and portfolio leads to ensure alignment of goals, priorities, and delivery timelines
• Establish, review, and enforce code quality standards and best practices across all teams
• Identify areas for process improvement, resource optimization, and skill development to enhance team capabilities
• Champion the adoption and integration of AI technologies within the SDLC, including synthetic data generation and AI-driven development tools
• Hands-on creation of AI agents, skills, and harnesses to support an AI-first approach implementation
• Hands-on experience working with Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GenAI) technologies
• Oversee the use and management of Azure infrastructure, GitHub repositories, and GitHub Actions pipelines
• Promote and leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot and Factory AI to enhance development efficiency and innovation
• Drive innovation through showcases and continuous delivery of cutting-edge AI solutions
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality
• Mentor and support team members, fostering professional growth and continuous learning

• Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
• Proven track record of leading multiple engineering teams successfully
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in AI technologies
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing AI-first approaches, including creating AI agents and harnesses
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GenAI)
• Proficiency in Microsoft technology stack, including Azure cloud services and .NET framework
• Strong programming skills in Python and React
• Experience with DevOps practices, including GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions pipelines
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Factory AI
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning in emerging AI technologies
