AI Business System Analyst

• 6 month contract + extensions
• Hybrid 4x per week in Toronto
• Pay: $60-80/hr incorp

• Must-Have Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience delivering large-scale technology projects.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, process modeling, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution design.
• Active use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and MCPs to enhance productivity and decision-making.
• Experience with API discovery, documentation, lifecycle management, and error handling.
• Understanding of AI/ML workflows, prompt engineering, and AI governance principles.
• Experience contributing to AI-enabled products or capabilities.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing deliverables through the SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to create process flows, swim lanes, use cases, and technical documentation.
• Proven experience defining data elements, data mapping, business rules, data dictionaries, transformations, and data lineage.
• Experience analyzing data flow architectures, including batch, ETL, and real-time streaming solutions.
• Understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, API authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys, JWT), and integration concepts.
• Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, SQL, and data modeling software.
• Familiarity with leading generative AI platforms such as OpenAI, Gemini, and Cohere, including practical business applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior BSAs.

• Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with messaging, voice, or omnichannel platforms, including chatbots, customer support bots, or IVRs.
• Experience applying prompt engineering techniques to business analysis activities such as requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder communications.
• Knowledge of AI/ML industry trends, emerging models, and competitive solutions within the banking sector.

This individual will partner with business stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and vendors to gather requirements, analyze business processes, document solutions, and drive projects through the SDLC. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in business analysis, hands-on experience with data and API integrations, and a demonstrated understanding of generative AI and AI-driven product capabilities.
