Position Group
  • About Us
  • BridgeVision Inc. is an early-stage infrastructure technology company building a new approach to bridge-condition documentation and long-term monitoring.
  • We combine bridge engineering, advanced RPAS operations, high-resolution photogrammetry, LiDAR, reality modelling and digital-twin technology to help infrastructure owners obtain better evidence, revisit difficult-to-access areas and track visible deterioration over time.
  • BridgeVision is preparing to deliver an Ontario Centre of Innovation-supported technology pilot at the Blue Water Bridge, one of Canada’s most significant international bridge crossings. The project will test an engineering-grade workflow for collecting, organizing, reviewing and monitoring condition evidence on major long-span bridges.
  • The company is working with experienced bridge and geomatics advisors, and Bentley Systems is providing strategic implementation and application-engineering support for the digital-twin workflow.
  • The Opportunity
  • This is an opportunity to join BridgeVision at the ground floor and help build a technical capability that could change how difficult and high-value bridges are documented and monitored.
  • You will not be joining an established drone-services department to repeat a fixed workflow. You will help develop the workflow.
  • The successful candidate will work directly with BridgeVision’s founder and technical advisors to shape:
  • how complex bridges are captured using enterprise RPAS and advanced sensors;
  • how imagery, LiDAR and survey control are combined into engineering-grade reality models;
  • how field data is organized for engineering and owner review;
  • how repeat capture can support long-term monitoring; and
  • how BridgeVision develops a scalable service for infrastructure owners across Ontario and beyond.
  • The initial assignment will support a major Blue Water Bridge pilot through the end of 2026. However, the role is intended to be more than a single-project field position.
  • BridgeVision is building internal RPAS, photogrammetry, modelling and digital-inspection capability. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a key early technical team member and take increasing responsibility for future bridge and infrastructure projects as the company grows.
  • Why this Role is Different
  • This position offers:
  • hands-on involvement in a high-profile long-span bridge technology pilot;
  • direct access to senior bridge-engineering and geomatics expertise;AD
  • exposure to Bentley iTwin technology and application-engineering support;
  • meaningful influence over equipment selection, field methodology and modelling standards;
  • the opportunity to build new workflows rather than simply follow existing procedures;
  • experience at the intersection of aviation, geomatics, bridge engineering and infrastructure technology;
  • direct visibility into how an early-stage technical company develops products, services and owner relationships; and
  • a credible path toward a larger technical and leadership role within BridgeVision.
  • The successful candidate will help create procedures, standards and technical knowledge that BridgeVision expects to carry forward into future projects. This is well suited to someone who wants more responsibility and ownership than is normally available in a conventional drone-pilot or production-modelling role.
  • The Role
  • Transport Canada Advanced Operations RPAS Certificate is required for this position. This is a multidisciplinary role combining:
  • advanced RPAS mission planning and operation;
  • high-resolution façade, oblique and close-range infrastructure photography;
  • photogrammetric and point-cloud processing;
  • field coverage and data-quality assurance;
  • reality-model and digital-twin development;
  • technical problem-solving; and
  • development of repeatable digital-inspection workflows.
  • You will work directly with BridgeVision’s Principal Engineer and collaborate with bridge engineers, geomatics specialists, survey professionals and Bentley application engineers.
  • During the initial pilot, the role will include both field and office responsibilities. Over time, the position may evolve toward technical leadership in RPAS data acquisition, reality modelling and digital inspection.
  • Who will Thrive in this Role
  • The ideal candidate is not simply looking for another drone-pilot position.
  • This opportunity is intended for someone who:
  • wants to help build a company and technical capability from an early stage;
  • is motivated by difficult, high-consequence infrastructure challenges;
  • enjoys combining field operations with modelling and technical analysis;
  • wants meaningful responsibility and direct influence over project outcomes;
  • is comfortable solving problems where the workflow is still being developed;
  • can exercise sound independent judgment while collaborating with experienced specialists;
  • is interested in becoming a recognized technical leader in infrastructure reality capture; and
  • sees the potential for RPAS, photogrammetry and digital twins to improve conventional bridge-inspection and asset-management practices.
  • The strongest candidate will be able to move comfortably between mission planning, aircraft operation, image quality, point-cloud processing, reality-model review and discussions with engineers.
  • Future Growth
  • The initial term will support the Blue Water Bridge pilot through December 2026. Continued employment will depend on project needs, performance and BridgeVision’s developing project pipeline.
  • BridgeVision’s intention is to build a lasting internal capability rather than assemble a temporary field crew. For the right person, this role could develop into:
  • RPAS and Reality Capture Lead;
  • Digital Inspection Technology Lead;
  • Reality Modelling and Data Acquisition Manager; or
  • another senior technical role as the company grows.
  • How to Apply
  • Please email the following materials to [email protected]:
  • your résumé;
  • confirmation of your current Transport Canada Pilot Certificate – Advanced Operations;
  • a brief summary of your professional RPAS, photogrammetry and reality-modelling experience;
  • a list of the aircraft, camera payloads, LiDAR systems and processing software you have used;
  • examples or brief descriptions of relevant infrastructure, inspection or 3D-modelling projects;
  • your availability from August through December 2026;
  • your preferred employment arrangement; and
  • your compensation expectations.
  • Please use the subject line:
  • Application – Advanced RPAS Pilot & Digital Inspection Analyst
  • A formal cover letter is not required. A concise email explaining your interest in the opportunity and why your experience is relevant is sufficient.
  • Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and the position may be filled once a suitable candidate is identified.
