Accounts Payable Analyst

A technology services client of ours is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst for their ongoing projects.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 2-5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Strong understanding of AP processes and accounting principles.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a manufacturing, consumer goods, or distribution environment.
• Knowledge of expense reporting systems.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with 1099 reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (three-way matching).
• Prepare and process weekly payment runs (ACH, wire transfers, and checks).
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure timely payment of obligations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s and banking information.
• Support audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Receiving, and Finance teams to resolve issues.
