Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for an established real estate investment and development firm in Dallas, Texas. This role centers on corporate accounting with a strong financial analysis component, working across multiple business units alongside Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury, and Data Quality teams to support strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring a bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's strongly preferred), an active CPA or CPA eligibility, and at least two years of accounting experience, with public accounting experience preferred. Strong GAAP knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and advanced Excel proficiency are essential, and any background in real estate, investment, or partnership accounting is a plus. Responsibilities

• Partner with FP&A to forecast short-term and long-term liquidity needs, and prepare consolidated cash activity and cash forecast reports that support management decision-making.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements and supporting analysis across multiple entities.
• Assist with lender reporting, financial statements, disclosures, and covenant calculations.
• Support annual budget preparation and run periodic budget-to-actual variance analysis for multiple entities.
• Review the accounting for significant real estate transactions, research applicable GAAP guidance, and provide commentary to management.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects for senior leaders and business partners.
• Maintain accounting and reporting for a large portfolio of venture capital investments, including NAV rollforwards and performance analysis.
• Prepare and review recurring reports and supporting schedules, including roll forwards for notes payable, notes receivable, and related statements.
• Safeguard data integrity through reconciliations and control checks, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare cash reporting to management.
• Streamline reporting processes for timeliness and accessibility, and develop creative, data-driven reporting solutions tailored to stakeholder needs.

• Client Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Accounting strongly preferred.
• CPA or CPA eligible required.
• Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in real estate, investment, or partnership accounting a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a willingness to learn new accounting and reporting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with high attention to detail and discretion.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to present financial data to both financial and non-financial audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and across departments, including with C-level executives and external financial institutions, in a fast-paced setting.
