Accounting Analyst

• Accounting Analyst | Leading Oil & Gas Company
• We’re looking for an Accounting Analyst to join a leading Oil & Gas company on a 6-month contract (with strong potential for extension or conversion to full-time). If you have a background in accounting, finance, or data analysis and strong Excel skills, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a high-impact commercial operations environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Record and manage product purchases and sales transactions in SAP S4
• Support monthly close activities including accruals, actuals, and reconciliation
• Analyze product movement data (volumes, pricing, buyers/sellers) and ensure accuracy
• Identify and resolve discrepancies related to inventory and invoicing
• Collaborate with schedulers, traders, billing, and inventory teams
• Monitor SLAs with offshore teams to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Support audit activities, documentation, and data validation
• Use advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, charts) for reporting and analysis
• Contribute to team projects and process improvements

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance preferred)
• Strong advanced Excel skills (mandatory – testing required)
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Self-starter with a growth-oriented attitude
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines
• Exposure to SAP or Oil & Gas environments is a plus

• 📍 Location: Houston, TX (hybrid)
• 💵 Pay: $37 – $40/hour
